The Triffid Nebula
A.k.a. "M20" in the constellation Sagittarius. Although my wife and I think it looks more like a Pansy. This photo actually contains two "M" objects. M21 A small star cluster can be seen up and to the right. M20 is not to far from The Lagoon Nebula and I will take a wack at combining this photo and the Lagoon photo, for a nice panorama shot (when I figure out how to do it). This a medium format photo (6X7) for one hour, on Kodak PPF 400 film at f7.5, I used an Astro Physics 6" refractor on an Astro Physics 1200gto mount. Taken in cental Oregon during July of 2002
